Although the names of the candidates of the various parties in France were submitted last Friday, there are internal problems for all the groups.
a) The Left…. In its efforts to unite amid infighting, the French political Left and in particular, the hard-left La France Insoumise (LFI), has excluded prominent figures.
The four MEPs who broke away from Eric Zemmour’s Reconquête party will build a “French Conservative” political party, an internal letter sent to representatives of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) group has said.
In the letter dated June 14 and seen by Brussels Signal, former Reconquête MEP Nicolas Bay said he wanted to inform his colleagues regarding the state of the split.
“I know that the situation in France is a little chaotic at the moment,” he wrote. {You can say that again, Nico.}
d) The European Union is ready to punish France if Marine Le Pen’s National Rally (Rassemblement National) wins the upcoming French parliamentary elections, writes establishment media outlet Politico. According to the article, the European Commission may not let a right-wing government “off the hook” with regards to France’s overspending, unlike their leniency with the current and previous cabinets. This is clearly a sign that the EU institutions use their ‘power of the purse’ to penalise only those member states they politically disagree with.

Same here DAD – still going on at 4:30 a.m. Directly overhead at one point – huge crash made the house shake. Two trees down and many fallen branches to clear up. Not to mention one howling and trembling 40 kilo dog to deal with and one 30 kilo one who wanted to join in the mayhem so as not to be left out!
Fine, warm and sunny for the moment. Solar Radiation Management in full swing though….Another night like last night and I’ll tranquillise myself not the dog.
